kicker zx 2500.1

so i bought this kicker zx2500.1 mono amp. i bought it to run a 15" CV stroker pro. problem is the sub is a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub, so i can only wire it to this amp at 4 ohms, meaning the sub is only recieving 1250w, rather than the 2500w i wanted it to.

people suggested trying to run the amp at 1 ohm (even though it says its only stable down to 2 ohm), but somebody said the amp will go into protect mode and turn off.

anybody have any ideas on if i can get this amp to get down to 1 ohm, or should i just try and get a hold of a new amp?

Some will run at 1 and some wont. If you have beefy electrical your chances of running at 1 are greater.

im running an optima red top battery, 0 guage memphis wiring kit, and im picking up a mean green alternator in the next week or two. big 3 is done as well.

if i do get it to run at 1 ohm, will it run like that every time i start my jeep? or am i going to have to cross my fingers every time, hoping the amp turns on?
