Kicker Vs. Pioneer

I was looking at these two subs. I will be going with two subs of either brand. The kickers will be wired to 1 ohm on an amp that produces 1000w@1 ohm. The pioneers will be wired two 2 ohms on an amp that puts out 900w@2 ohms. Both figures are RMS. Both will be run in a sealed box, at 1.0 ft3, subsonic filter @25hz, and I will tune the gains with an oscilliscope. I won't be using any bassboost on the amps. Here's the links.

I won't be buying off crutchfield as I can get them way cheaper elsewhere. Just a good site with lots of details.

Kicker , i've heard both and the kicker is better quality i thought.

They patented theirs, with the spiderless VC, the others are a standard design that's been compressed down. or so I've been lead to believe.

that elemental designs woofer is sexy! And it's **** cheap. I might have to buy one and test it out. I'm thinking of going with their recommended .5 ft.3 sealed box and go from there. Thanks!

I would go with the Pioneer because i have installed it... it sound very nice in very small sealed boxes and it produce a very decent output but i don't doubt that the kicker is a nice product too.

well, I think I have it decided. I'm going to run one SQ10 and see how it sounds, and if I like it I'll buy another one or three, and if I don't I'll sell it and buy a kicker and try it out.
