Kicker vs. Hifonics

Im about to get 2 12" L7's but I'm a little confused on what kind of amp to get. I've narrowed it down to either 1 kicker zx1500 or 2 hifonics bxi1206's. I know the hifonics is overraited and the kicker is underrated but I know a lot of people that are very happy the way their hifonics push their L7's. Any kind of knowledge of either amps with my subs will help. Thanks

i would take the kicker hands down over even two of the bxi's

what kind of electrical do you have? if it's stock, you're not going to get much more than that kicker will dish out anyways, and ampere for ampere, the kicker's going to give you more juice

I'll either be upgrading my big 3 or running everything off another batter in my trunk. Havn't decided yet.

it still will be running off your entire electrical system, but a 2nd battery without the big3 tends to cause a charging strain on the alt. just do the big 3 and if you feel that you need another battery(said amp) or just want a more solid electrical system get the second battery.. big3 shouldn't cost any more then 15-30 bucks pending on how much wire you need.

what impedance are you going to run the L7's at?

i just dumped a bxi2006d on someone on ebay a few weeks ago, hands down the worst amp i've owned to date, honestly started thinking about getting rid of it the day i got it installed
