kicker vs. crunch

i plan on getting 2 12's l7's and looking for amp either 1500 kicker amp for $360 or a crunch 1500 for $150 or a 3000 watt crunch for $200

i was wondering what would be the best one to run the subs also how overrated are the crunch amps i was figuring i could get 2 of the 3k crunch amps for the price of one kicker

crunch amps arent overrated. there UNDERrated....still a decent limited money amp if u get it for cheap

i'm sure you've done extensive testing w/all teh new crunch series amps, too.. eh?

In general kicker, crunch is just above flea market. My opionion

The Crunch amps have a lot of watts per dollar, but... I know the Kicker zx series has 24db per octave crossovers... if you don't have a steep crossover in the head unit or elsewhere in the system, might help sound quality (keep the bass up front).

MTX thunder "TA" series appear to be on closeout, those look like a best buy right now. I just picked up a 750 watter myself.

well i think the only problem i will have with keeping the bass upfront is that i have a remote wire that converts into rcas for the amp bc at the time i had stock radio and the converter is hooked up to the rear speakers

If you are running rear mids/highs, you would not worry about keeping the bass up front.

Kicker has better build quality. They're rated quite modestly unlike the over rated Crunch.

As for value is concerned?, I would say its relative to the individual's needs.

If your looking to save a few bucks, go with the Crunch.

The failure rate is substantially higher than Kickers.

(We sold the PZi line over the summer. We stopped selling them after a dozen out of the 20 we sold came back for warranty.

As long as the Crunch you buy has a warranty I wouldnt worry about it to much.

One Crunch gp3000 will run the pair of L7's easily. Btw, that line of amps seems to do well for people, haven't anything bad about them yet!

!Be sure to buy dual 4 ohm subs, that Crunch is a 1ohm mono amp.

if you want quality, get the kicker. if your looking for something cheap, crunch will be alright but i think hifonics will be a little bit better than crunch
