Kicker SX1250.1 or Kicker ZX1500.1?

for safety sake, get the SX1250 or change drivers to 2 ohm. your call. the SX1250 like carlton mentioned will do 1400-1500 watts, more than enough for two 12's daily, IMHO.
I have two 15s. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

KX's and ZX's, same boards, probly slightly better components used on the board of the zx, but essentially same amp. i've run a 1200.1 at 1 ohm just fine. my kx 2500.1 DOES NOT EVEN HEAT UP AT 1 OHM AFTER LONG PERIODS OF BASSING IN DAILY DRIVING. and this is off a relativly weak electrical system, i only have a 90amp alty and 2 red tops. it's efficent, and handles 1 ohm like a champ. in fact with a stong electrical i could probly squeeze a good 2700 maybe?
but back to the question a hand.....all the amps of zx and the kx before have been 1 ohm stable. IMO the 2500.1 took 1 ohm daily beter than 1200.1 but thats probly because my friends car had massive electrical dips and thatll cause osme heat. even with the heat it wasnt even that bad, not blistering hot like some amps ive flet. I vote the zx, the digital stuff is fun and all....but the zx is more practical, and you'll get more than 1500 out of it. even if you run right at 12v youll still get that 1500w, but if you keep ur volts up itll be more.

the controls on the sx seems cool. but for those subs itll sound better haveing that little extra juice for them. i mean controling the crossover and some things digitally is fun and all, but i dont see there being a huge differance in SQ, if so probly wont be much, and the extra juice will make up for it. remember thats supposed to be 1500 @ 2 ohms, with a good alty youl can squeeze more out of it. my 2500 has taken the abuse the best out of any amp in its caliber thats ive used. everythign else just heats up crazy when you daily drive it alot under rated imp. but this amp, and it's like models will give you jsut a lil more @ 1 ohm
Thanks for the detailed post. See the electrical system thing is what I'm worried about the most. Right now with my hifonics bx1605d my volts drop down in the 11s sometimes. I am hoping that the kicker amp will be a little more efficient and not cause such a huge drop. But I just have a smaller alt (i think its 120 amp, might be a tad smaller), and then just 1 battery. I really like the sx amps because they look awesome, and no one around here has anything like it....but I really would rather have more watts.

i would get different subs with a different ohm load, so you can get the zx1500.1. I have mine hooked up to two 15 Mags in a sealed box and its crazy. My friend is a kicker rep and he just got two brand new sx1250.1's to install in his own car, after he heard my system(which he installed) he's ditching the sx1250's and getting two zx1500.1's.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thats stupid seein how the 1250.s are strappable and the 1500 isnt.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

strappableness is sometimes handy.but if you knwo what ur doing you can easily tune 2 amps per voice coil, or in this case you can just eyeball the gains to be the same, one per sub.......

get the zx man

wow, so what you're telling me is that you can't strap the zx1500.1. Do more research and then come back and say something intelligent I wonder who's really stupid now. If you still can't figue it out after research PM me and i'll let you in on the little secret.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

You know nothin...............

You can use a memphis piece to rig it....where one amp does the positive and the other the negitive.........but strap it by itself the answer is no DUMBAxx. Its not even cost effiecient for two amps that do the same power give or take.

compared to you who knows so much.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif wow, you did a little research, anyways like said above, you don't have to have strappable amps to have more than one amp on one sub. You're the dumb@ss, and i'll just leave it at that.
