Kicker sx1250.1 Gain Setting

I got a kicker sx1250.1 and im wanting to know since the birthsheet says it does 1492 watts rms, whether to set the gain/output voltage on a dmm to the 1250 watts rated or the 1492 watts on the birthsheet?

Go with the 1492, obviously it can do that without clipping...
