Kicker Solox 12's or kicker L7's

so am i going to notice any sound difference if i switch out the subs, get 2 solox 12's and power them both with one zx2500.1 and also get an extra battery in the trunk?

given the same power, the L7 will be louder if it is getting full power already. If you have more power to give then go to the SOLO X. But its a big investment for only 1 or 2dB.

exactly changing a whole system basically for 1 or 2 db is impractical.

I believe it will actually drop in dBs with that power. Also, the L7s can give better sound Q.

Some might dis-agree (already obviously) BUT as i said before...i have heard 1 single 12" solo x ran by an orion 2500D and it was considerably louder that 2x 12" L7's ran by the same amp and both in their respectful enclosures. if you run the extra battery to the 2x 2500's running 2x solo x 12"s the i highly doubt that they will only be 1-2db louder or sound worse than the L7's look at the spec sheets from kicker themselves and check other audio forums to see for yourself. just make sure you get a good battery,...say a kinetik and soem 1 or 0 guage wiring,plus do the ol' big 3 and i know it will be more than worth it. if you want sound qulity then run a sealed box, but who buys solo x's for that? i have heard them in both boxes and personally own 4 12" L7's and am fixing to get 2 solo x's just for the hell of it and because i know they will sound better AND louder. do some research and see for yourself. if you have any questions,feel free to shoot me a PM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
