Just wondering why most people do not seem to like the solobarics. I have seen many people speaking badly of them and was just curious on why they seem to have such a bad rep.

I love my L7... It may just be the trashy systems around here, but mine is louder than a lot of them and sounds better... People say they lack a lot on the low notes, but I get a good amount of flexing from them.. Never thought I could get that loud off of just 900 watts..

I personally did not like the L7s. I owned the two 12L7s. I tried different boxes, ported and sealed. The SQ on them was awful. I needed to adjust my EQ and lower the volume on my H/U for them to blend in with my sound stage. Even with that, I had an issue with their "boominess".

They may have won awards, that is great and all. But, I could only imagine how much fine tuning there was involved with these subs for them to sound decent. I also wonder what competition these vehicles had.

The L7s get pretty loud. But as far as SQ and their overall results, they were just not my cup of tea.

about every class you can think of, the best cars in the world...from Consumer to Expert...and to get a true SQ system, you don't need massive power, ported woofers and dual 12's, for real SQ, a good 10" woofer is ample.Want true SQ, equalization is important on all aspects.. went to lunch Wednesday with Mark Eldridge, man I sure miss going to World Finals with him and Biggs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
