Well what if you want purely SPL, isn't that a good thing?

If you want pure SPL, yeah they are great. But you can't play music through them. So using them for a daily driver is pretty much out of the question.

Don't get mad cause I don't know what i'm talking about but, why couldn't you play daily music? the SQ is just that bad?

It wasn't meant to change frequencies with any accuracy. It was meant to play ONE freq as loud as possible. In otherwords. Ready set go */me hits button BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM* wait 3 seconds /me hits button BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*. I'm not getting mad, i'm just telling you that they are NOT made to play music. They are made for SPL competitions and are not meant to run for long periods of time.

I'm sure they probably have the same kind of coil control as the MTX RFL, which means no coil control. Play music through it with the power it needs to get moving and you will probably destroy it.

First of all, listen to the other comments that are being given to you. Second of all, if u have to ask questions about it...you are OBVIOUSLY not experienced enough to handle this type of woofer. DON'T GET IT, look into RE XXX...or incriminator audio Death Penalty...

actually, yeah it tis. Extremely capabl SPL oriented subwoofer...it's about 70/30 in the spl/sq area. KILLER subs, rock solid, amazing build quality...i've seen and heard them. peace

how can purely spl be use for daily driving? That like driving around listening to 30hz tone and making ur ear bleed.

Thats with only a mere about of the power it can handle though. And if you spend $1000+ on a woofer, wouldn't you want it to get loud? And since you do, your gonna have to feed it more power than what they probably fed it for the SQ competition.

haha sooner or later u are gonna here some punk rolling down the street playing test tones on there solo x's cause they are scared to blow it! that sucks to buy something that expensive and then find out it is made for soemthign completely differant tahn wat u intended. sure u could sell it but u would probably lose money

not all sq competitions require the speakers to actually be on....sometimes it's merely (sp?) the install...and as stated b4...i doubt they were feeding it 5000rms and doing 150dBs on the mic when that sq comp took place...i mean some people can take one of audiobahns lowest lines (not dissin everything audiobahn makes) and make them sound incredible...but not everyone can do that..it just requires trial and error and knowledge....winning an sq comp means nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
