Kicker Solo X 12"

Dear All,

I am a newbie to boxes and i would like to design my own box.

I have just got the insane Solo X 12inch and have no idea how to start. I downloaded some programs to optimise the box but havent the slightest how to use it.

The manual talks about about cubic squares but thats all gobbley-gook cos i just know how to measure and cut the mdf.

I would prefer ported with Tuner settings.

Tuner: 1.5 cu.ft., Fb= 73.4 Hz

F3= 42.3 Hz, Pmax= 2500W

Can anyone help me???

I just want simple measurements to cut out, LOL!

I would probably go with 2-3 cubes ported around 30-33 Hz

deff. more than 3 cubes! I am putting my L5s in 3.5^3 ported each. i dont really know what kicker says about the solox but i would go with a minimum of 4^3 tuned between 32-40hz

4 cubes would be a good size... tune to 35 if you want some sound quality... how much power are you using?

def a huge *** ported box, and maybe an orion 2500d, or an ia 20.1 or two on tha beast. make sure you have the electgrical to keep up with the cureerent dreaw demanged of the amp.

zsondy1 has his solox 12 in like 4 cubes w/ 4 - 4'' outward mounted aero's.

its doing 147 or 148 i do believe.
