I was really thinking about getting the CVX's but many say they should be in a ported enclosure I like the sound of a sealed enclosure and these are suppose to thrive in one opinions

I'm a big old school fan, so i like the throw back look!!! I actually just parted with four of the original s10d series solos a few months back. I wish the cone was exactly the same, but they will do.

Not like L5, its a totally new speaker

like the old SOLO lines, they excel in small sealed boxes, depends on what your doing with them if they are what you need

That heavy plastic cone and ribbed surround sure dont give the impression of a light, highly detailed and articulate sub like the old solo's were. But yes I know, looks dont mean much. But still, looks pretty hideous imo. Sorry Tracy.

im not familiar with the old SOLOS, but im thinking i read about added weight in the sub cone versus the other kicker cones, im assuming to help with low end with a sealed box, im not too hip on sealed box stuff
