I want to put them in an SQ oriented (as much as possible) bandpass enclosure. they will be part of a center console (that will stretch to the back wall of my extended cab Ranger) I am doing a Mustang Seat conversion on my ranger and want a small but "substantial" system.

I have very little knowledge about bandpass enclosures.

All I know is they are very efficient, bu cause the power handling to decrease. I was advised by friends and forum peeps that the 8's with a boost of efficiency hence, louder, would be pretty sweet. I am concerned with low freq reproduction as well and want to tune for a low freq.

I was not sure whether or not bandpass was considered sealed or ported, as it is technically both... I need to do more research I guess.

Dude... bandpass + sq don't really go together.. Bandpass is normally very efficient at a shot range of notes.. Sealed will be the easiest thing to do and will probably sound the best. Someone has used these subs before and will be able to chime in with a SOLID answer to the size.

This is true, there, killa I do know that SB's are not ported woofers, they need a tiny box, they are great subs in those tiny boxes. I guess the biggest problem is is the Alpine amp I am using for subbass is only 4ohm stable, so I cant really test out the Kickers until i find another amp.

Truthfully my whole system is a mess, the cooling fans are blown in my alpine, my PPI amp sucks balls for some reason and probably should be scrapped, my daytons have the midbass ability of my left asscheek, and best of all when I wired it up I did so many temps and hacks that I have to do it over again.
