hooked up, but havent rewired subs to 1ohm yet....so on 4ohms they're getting 150watts..sound nice, but not near as loud as I want....

IMO that would be pointless.... Putting that strain on the amp isnt good for it, and its not like he would be begging for power. If it is the MClass then, just buy the PR series new.... or maybe it will be the ST500.1 which is stable at 1 ohm

IIRC, the ST500d uses the same board as the MC500d, which was not 1 ohm stable.

And anyone saying Memphis is garbage is a complete retard. I've had an ST3004, ST2004, MC500d, and MCH600, as well as a pair of M-Class subs. Loved all of it.

memphis makes some good shit. I love their subs, and their amps are just as good nearly as any other.

Kicker seems to be the best value, dollar to watt ratio.......
For 2 ohm power.

1. He's not looking for 2 ohm power

2. Most merchandise levels out in price when buying used. There really shouldn't be much of a difference in value.

AS SAID, I needed either 4ohm or 1ohm...

I GOT the Memphis, hooked the subs up at 4ohms, just to test....150watts..lol, they sounded ok

Then, I rewired the subs to 1ohm, ...500watts, even better and louder, but...had to back off on the gains a bit.
