Are the kicker L7's 15' worth the price ive herad that the sound quality is messed up i wanna get in some comps and im looking 4 4 speakers to give me aroun 3800 watts of power and i was gonna go with 4 jlb amps l7 good thx for imput

I've heard a pair of L7 15's before with 2 JBL 1200.1's and it was loud to say the least. If you got 4 of them with 4 of those amps, it would be amazingly loud. As for sound quality, I'm not so sure...I think it would just be insanely loud. they have SOME sound quality, but to get the best out of them (SQ and SPL wise) u gotta put them in a large box.

I'm pretty sure they're in the process of making one, but I don't think it's out yet.

In my opinion, If you want L7's, I think you should get a pair of L7 15's with a pair of the JBL 1200.1 amps and put them in a ported box. I have no idea of the dimensions of the box, but if you ask Kicker they will tell you. With a decent setup, including lots of deadening material, there's no doubt to me that you'll reach 140's easily...maybe, just maybe 150. Whatever you end up doing, good luck!

Yeah but are comps based on sound quality or loudness is 2000 watts going to be enough? how much space would a ported box take up? would it be hella more then a sealed box?

The 15L7 would be awesome. Totally an SPL sub wit very little SQ. Definetly should be ported. Requires a very large box tho, especially if you port it. I have a 5.6 cu ft box in a back of a 97 Honda Accord right now so it might work. Maybe 2 12l7 or even be able to sqeeze in 2 15l7. Good luck.

with that setup though you would get your a@@ handed to you in any big comps depending on where you are even in little comps. i know around here no one has anything near loud my 148 is one of the louder system's in town. now if you rip out your back seat and get like 2 alternators that put out 200amps a piece b/c your going to need AT LEAST THAT and then about 2 extra batteries b/c you will need that much then you might be in business my man. i say try it but with 2 1200.1's that can draw 110amps a piece that's 220amps a piece easily if you ask me and you are gonna need 2 alts. for that one i would think so anyway.

I think i might just go 3 cause since im gonna have to get ported boxes I might have to get 2 kicker 10's or 12's or i might just have to go 4 1'2 i measured my trun its only 19'x 37 in the smallest place i could mover the box up a little and put my capasitatotrs behind the box and th it would have 19'x 47 inches but still ported xoxes are huge how abot the l5's are they better in sealed or ported boxes im pearty sure ill have enough space or i can get a 4 sont alunimum box with 4ohm subs down to 1ohm that handels 1200 and hen 2 on the sides and only 2 amps what would be the best?
