I searched and have read 25 pages of L7 info the last hour or so, but I still have a question. I have an MTX 1501d and I'd like to know if it is enough to power two

'06 15 L7's or should I settle for the 12"s?

That'll be plenty of power for the 15's...especially if you're going to port them. L7's can handle a whole lot of power...but they don't neccessarily need alot to be loud.

Well it's not modded as of right now. I'm not sure if I want to mod it, really don't want to fry my amp, but who knows I might. They are going in a blazer.

Before I got my Orion 1200d I had a MTX1501d pushing my 2 - 12" L7's. Sounded great to me anyways. I then modded it to run at 1 ohm and of course it added some extra nuts to it and made the subs wang a little more. So to answer you question, yes it will work fine. That 1501d is a great amp. My opinion you don't need to mod it. O'well thats all, Later......
