Kicker L7 vs CVX

Other than one's square and one's rounds, what are the avantages/disadvantages of the L7 vs the CVX. Looking at one 10". Wondering why one would buy a CVX over an L7. Chances of one 10" L7 or CVX would last on a Sundown SAE 1200 at one ohm (600w sub on 1200w amp)? My boy ran a kx1200.1 to each of his 12 inch L7s. They put out about 13-1400 rms, and the L7s are only rated at 750rms. They took it and didn't sound over powered but this was about 4 years ago, I don't think the gains were obnoxiously high, but they got real loud and didn't smell or blow for the year that he had them.

The L7s will take more power than rated. You just have to be smart with the gain

theyll also be a little louder than the cvx... cvx is a little more precise on the fast paced bass rythms though. i would guess this is due to the same motor pushing a cone with a little more weight (L7)?

go with cvx they can be found cheaper then the l7

the L7 will have a slight bit more cone area just because it's square and not round.

iirc, the CVX's dont require as much airspace...and to me the CVX>L7 in SQ......... L7>CVX in SPL
