Eh, I like them. I had 2 of the old silver ones, older than OP's. I ran them on 400W each, got pretty loud. Louder than any of the ones around this community.

I an running 6 10 inch l7s powered by 2 stetsom 7kds in a 99 eclipse.it sounds clear and loud!it does 148.3 db on my meter.

4db gain? 1 8" vs. 6 10"s on a 10kw+?

slam, how much power was on the 8" L7? Is that a TL score sealed up on the dash? im assuming the 148.3 is a TL sealed up on the dash score..

how did you give each l7 a zx2500 without blowing them...i had 2 06 15 l7s on a zx2500 in a prefabed box and it got pretty loud we never metered it but my buddys car was doing 140 flatt and i was a little louder than him...they can def get pretty loud

had them in a smaller ported so they could handle a little more power...i could have easily blown them..but you gotta know when to turn it down

The six 10's are in a sealed box not ported and in a not so ideal car for getting loud. Probably could have been louder with a little less but he wanted to street beat full tilt with out blowing anything and I set it up that way.

148db in a sealed box sounds a hold hell of a lot louder then 149db from a ported box. Sealed is so punchy that your teeth want to come out of your head. LOL

This is in a sealed box, and he placed the meter right in front of the sub. Can't compare it to any dash readings.
