kicker l7 ohm ?

i have a directed audio 1200d amp and 1 solobaric 12" l7 i bought a 4 ohm when i previously had a 2 ohm but sold it is there a difference??

someone told me i need to wire it down to 2 ohms? how do i do that? do i need to?

the only difference is the impedence load that the amp will see.

if you have 1 sub, then you want a dual 2 ohm driver, and wire it to 1ohm to get the most out of that amp

2 4ohm subs at 1 ohm is the way to go if you need help with the wires go to kicker.com it is in their.

2 dvc 4s=1ohm load (wired in parallel)

1 dvc 2=1ohm load (wired in parallel)

for either application on that amp, whether you have 1 dual 2 ohm sub or 2 dual 4 ohm subs, you will wire all the positives together, and all the negative together, to reach the ohm load you need with will be 1 ohm. if you have a 1 dual 4 you will do the same thing, but you will only get a portion of what the amp can do, b/c it is at 2 ohms.
