Kicker L7 and kicker box

Hey guys gettin my 12 inch kicker L7 and my zx1000 soon its in the mail //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but just wondering how it will be in the prefabbed kicker box its the square one made by kicker i thinks its around 1.8 cubic feet and its ported? eventually id like to made a custom box but for now it will ahve to do!

also just kind of wondering my friend is really impatient and just went down to beamriders and bought the JBL 600 watt GTS amp with the TS-W3004 sub and its in a little crappy enclosed non ported box! i know it depends on alot of things but how do you think the 2 systems would compete for SPL and SQ.

Well if its sealed you win all day long with any ported enclosure. I think tuning the port arounbd 50-60 hz is best for a spl box tho and kicker tunes around 38. but you still win.

i have that same sub in the same box on the same amp! yeah you will definately blow the crap out of his sub for sure! not sure about comp but it hits hard no doubt. we threw my system in my friends f-150 and it bowed the rear window out of its seal. it will hit really hard.

SPL - 99.9% chance yours.

SQ - Depends on the vehicles and type of music being played.

68hz is way too high, imo. Stick around the 32-38hz range.
