Kicker L7 15" solobaric vs Sundown SA15

friend of mine is looking at getting some new subs

what would be better for the $ kicker l7 15 200$

or SA 15 200$

idk if kickers over rated or not they say that the l7's are 1000w rms, anyone know how accurate that is

an the SA's are 600w rms but i know are way underated an can easily take 1200

any oppinions welcome, thanks

sundown all day every day...that L7 will sound like trash but get loud, but the sundown will just be all around amazing. Plus they are higher quality

the kicker rms is not overrated and in fact is underrated as well since most people give L7s more than rated power. (its crazy how other brands come up and all of a sudden everyone thinks kicker's amps and subs are overrated, smh)

anywhooooo, everyone's gonna tell u to go sundown.

I personally say it depends what youre tryna do. Given both have well built boxes, and adequate power i think the L7 may get louder due to increased cone area.

But the sundown can get just as loud and still sound good doing it. (L7s dont sound as bad as theyre made out to be, but the sundown will be cleaner for sure)

L7's can sound pretty decent. most the time people hear them in boxs tuned to 40hz and up.

the sa will drop lower and can get recones.

yeah im goin with SA12's, buddy of mine was lookin towards kickers so hopefully this let him make up his mind either way......thanks for the input
