What are you looking for? SPL/SQ ratio ... ? How much room for a box do you have? Do you have an amp already?

By the sounds of it, when you say 'kicker w/ a ported box' ... it sounds like a pre-fab box to me ... which may not suffice.

nah my friend made a box for the l5 and he is selling it. the 12o i would have to order. Im lookin for bass that doesn't rumble clean bass but hard hitting.

edit: oh yeah i got an amp that does 450 watts x1 bridged at 4ohms thats why im trying to decide on these subs

O i would imagine.450 wont do much with the kicker bass wise.itll still knock hard but the gains will have to be tampered with if u really wanted bass.(assuming he doesnt have room for HUGE box)450 could move a kicker.my 12" l7 took 500 and it hits nice and clean.to compensate for spl loss i turned the gain up a little more and it sounded HORRIBLE.it seems anyone who has gone the eD way of life has been happy.
