Kicker Kx700.5

Hey guys, picking up a couple new amps this week. The one for my gf's car is a Kicker kx700.5. It is an older model that looks like this

Does anyone know if this is an A/B and D class amplifier?

Any opinions on it?

I won't be running much in her car, 6.5" Fosgate Components, 6.5" Pionneer rear fill, and one MTX 12" sub. Looking for more SQ then SPL and have not heard the best about Kicker - but at 100 bucks figured could do a lot worse.

the sub channel is class D the rest is A/B you may want to spend a few extra dollars and get an Eclipse XA5000 but still the kicker is a nice amp.

or wait.. you are buying it used for 100 bucks? yeah long as its working I would go for it. Would power what you have there without a problem.

my friend has one, but one of the 'newer' models, i think 03 or 04... like it says, its rated at 700 watts, but his birthsheet said 912 i think. good amp, i was impressed

Thanks for the fast replies guys. Yea hoping to pick up a Directed 1100d5 for myself, so figure an upgrade in the g/f's car is in order as well. That is if I don't like the Kicker better then the Directed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you will prolly like the kicker better haha. Can't really go wrong with them when it comes to amps.

Really? Hmm, only heard good things about the 1100d5 - more power, and 1 ohm stable to boot.

the directed is a monster, I wanted one for my self,

 

but for your girl and for the price the Kicker is awesome

plus, you can run a whole system, not just a one ohm load.
