Sold Kicker KX2500 $300 plus shipping

Im selling my friends Kicker KX 2500.1 for him, amp is blown but i called kicker and they said it will cost a MAX of $80 to fix. So after shipping it to them $100 total to get it fixed. Asking $300 plus shipping. Paid $450 and used it for about 3 hours max. Will trade for an IA 20.1 plus some cash on my end. Thanks

I took the end part off but the bottom of the board doesnt just come off, so i didnt want to mess around with that just to look at the board.

Uh, if you take the 2 endcaps off you can just pull the silver top part off.... just dont yank it off as there are wires connecting it and the board that should be unplugged more gently....

I realize that, and Kicker said $30-80 with $80 being the MAX price it would cost to have any amp repaired. I'll take a took at it again and see if i can get the case off.

When did kicker start giving estimates over the phone? Thought you had to send the amp in....have them look at it...then they give you an estimate.

I dont know, but i called them up today and they gave me an estimate. Said it ranges from $30 up to $80. And the only way it will cost more than $80 is if the entire amp is bad and you need to buy a new one. Which the lady said she has only seen a few of in the years she has been there. I asked is that $80 on every model and she said yes. So as far as i know it will be $80 max to have the amp fixed.

thats what they told me when i called them. they don't give estimates over the phone

Well I had to have my kx2500 amp fixed about 3 weeks ago. I called kicker and they gave me the address to send it to. Then about 2 days after they got the amp they gave me the estimate of $105. The whole amp was not blown. 10 mosfets had to be replaced and one output.

one blown output as well. They also cleaned the amp. That price included shipping too.
