i just bought one of these amps today.......got it for under 500 shipped (refurb by kicker). im happy, im just hoping my electrical can run it down to 1 ohm. 180 amp HO alt, big 3, and a big *** northstar battery in the trunk.

No Kicker ZX amps are strappable except the SX1250.1 and possibly the sx650.1. I know for a fact the 1250 is though. And the ZXs are not a fan of 1 ohm. Check out the new soundstream XXX 6500D...it seems anything is good when there is the XXX in its name..re audio XXX...hot blonds XXX etc

how is it that you know more then Polecat who just said that they were strappable, and he works for Kicker amazing

I am running mine at 1 ohm off a 120A alternator and no battery in the back. Just an everstart under the hood.

got my kx2500.1 today from hifisound with NO endcaps. however, it did include a birthsheet for 2700 watts, which made me pleased.

i ran my kx 2500.1 at .70hm dcr DAILY off 2 red tops and a 90amp stock alty . and it took it like a ****ing champ and barely ever got more than warm even at 12v of hard playing for 30min straight. impressive amp since its rated at 2ohms lol.

as far as the zx's. id imagine the zx 2500.1 would do 1 ohm just as well if not better then the kx. perhaps there was something with the electrical that the zx's didnt like in that setup where they didnt do 1 ohm very well? i know they lik ehaveing a battery in the back if you lack a decent alty. but the kx was a CHAMP at 1 ohm

I am running a solo x 18 on two zx2500.1s and two kinetic 2400 power cells and everything else in my car is factory. I am hitting a 147.8 with no problem. If I were you I would start with one zx2500.1 and if its not loud enough for you bump it up to two zx2500.1s

So people are having alot of success running the kx2500.1's at 1 ohm aye? How many people arent successful w/ it though?
