In reality, $1500 for a true 2500w isn't a bad price at all. That's only $.60 per watt, which is about what you should expect to pay for any quality amplifier.

Anyways, my advice is to look around for a "cheap" price, and see if sounddomain will price match them so that you get a warranty.

I have a local shop here who matchs some ebay offers...

I could get (if I wanted to buy... or a friend of mine.) 2 1250.1's for 1200 bucks.... or 1 2500.1 for the same price... with full warrenty and everything.

you can drop it down some, but getting them to handle 16v input would offer more, than an ohm drop.
