Kicker KX 650.4 problem - one channel weaker

Heya, I have a question for the kicker guys here, or anyone who may know the answer. Alright, I have a kicker KX 650.4 that I picked up refurbished on ebay(working with a budget). It seemed like one channel was always weaker than the rest(front left). It may be the speaker, but we'll know if thats the problem soon enough as it is being replaced tommorow, and it may be the RCA(stinger audio). My biggest fear is that it is the amp.. I really hope its not that, its been well over the 90 day refurb warranty.

Anyone seen this problem with any other amps? What is it most likely?

Thanks,

Lurius

PS: It just dawned on me to try switching the rcas over from L to R and seeing if it changes any. I'll try that tommorow, still let me know if anyone else has had this problem and what solution was used, thanks!

Had a problem with one of my KX's like that as well... a 2channel. I used a DMM to test the AC voltage on the speaker outputs while playing a TestTone (no speakers hooked up). There was 5-6v of separation... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Sent it back into Kicker and they replaced VR1, I'd suggest using the method I spoke of above... then if there is a weak channel... you may want to check on the board... looking for VR //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well I went outside and tried what you said today and it looked like the left channel was only putting out one volt less than the right channel is. Maybe it is the speaker then, heres hoping for that, its a cheap speaker lol.

Werd.

Mine was unnacceptable, audible... one channel was giving my mid ~130watts while the other was giving the other mid ~260watts.

Yea, that would be a big difference.. Mine isnt too noticible I guess so I wont worry about it.. Not worth beign with out an amp for a few weeks anyways. I need to test the RCA inputs as well I guess, might not be putting out even # voltage, think that could have any effect on it?
