DMM Retard

anyone wanna enlighten me as to what settings my DMM should be set on? Theres a V with a line under it, a V with a dotted line under it, some OHM stuff..

and then there's 4 plugs for the wires. i had lost the instruction to the meter so I really have no idea which settings to use to detect regular voltage.

All I wanna do is set my gainss! but im obviously clueless with this dmm.

ta-da.. i tried lots of combinations and eventually found one that was givin me 14.3V on my idling car's battery.. sounds good I think.

The amp was showing 19.something volts as well.. dunno about that

If the amp is showing 19 volts I think that is the gain setting... Thats seems about right if its a 1000 watt amp or something.

naw the amps only about 2x90W rms @ 4 ohms or at least should be

i gotta gain question as well.. do you measure it by measuring the voltage on the speaker inputs on the amp or on the power cable inputs?
