My buddy has a kicker 900.2 which puts out 900x1@4. He wants a W7 but they only come in single 3 ohm coils... will putting that onto the 900.2 be a problem?

As long as it doesnt go into protect because of the low impediance, it may be fine. I had a lightning audio bold amp at 3ohms bridged and it did fine, with the gains pretty high. With Kicker quality should be fine. Just watch your gains and make sure it doesnt overheat...

I bet it would run warm and reduce the life of the amp, but it would technically work.
