Kicker Hideaway sub won't turn on

Hi everyone

I'm new here, thanks for your help in advance.

I recently tried installing a kicker hideaway subwoofer in my car. It comes with its own amplifier inbuilt. The problem is I can't get it to turn on.

I've used a multimeter to test the multi plug which connects to the sub/amp. I've got 11v with battery and 14v with car started. I've also connected the remote on wire to the ignition wire and measured similar values. All these voltages were tested using the same ground point from the multiplug.

Without the audio it should be turning itself on already. I have also connected the stereo wires to a kicker RCA adapter to the head unit and measured the DC offset. This is the secondary method to automatically turn on the unit and it still doesn't work.

Please share your advice!

Id take it to a local car audio shop and have it tested. You may want to check your ground wiring/try a dedicated ground for the unit, and check your RCA connections to the HU, and the remote wire..Check your inline fuse on the power wire to see if its blown as well..some things to consider to be checked out,or take it to have it tested
