I have a MTX thunder7500 series 12 sub currently hooked to a old planet audio 300 watt amp. It is currently working but its very old I can tell the amp doesnt perform like it use to. I recently bought a Kicker CXA800.1 amp and installed but no sound comes out of my sub. I have a green light on the amp and have checked my wiring connections. I put the old amp back in and I have sound from my sub....why isnt the kicker amp working? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you set the gain on the amplifier? If you did, try using another speaker to test the output of the amp. If you still don't get any sound, return the amp and get another one.
