Kicker CVR in ported box

I just built a ported box for my kicker CVR sub. The recommended watts to give it in a ported box is 300 but I want to give it 400 (thats what the sub is rated at)

Think that will be safe?

Yes that speaker will be fine with 400 watts.

2.25 ft3 (63.7L) + port displacement

3 x 12.5” (7.6x31.8cm) port, 20.5” (52.1cm) long

Those are the box specs I used. They were in the kicker manual.

It sounds awesome! And is louder then I expected. You should be very happy with 2. How much power you plan on giving them?

After seeing my buddy burping his 2 12" CVR's off a 2500.1 in a prefab box I'm pretty sure that the sub will be fine off 400w.

I ran 750 to my CompVr 12" @ 2 ohms off of a Diamond Audio D61500.1 but had to make sure you set the SSF, because at 1/2 Octave below tuning the box will unload, and you are essentially running the driver freeair....THEN it will FAIL....just my input.

Sub Sonic Filter. It prevents the sub from playing frequencies below the setting of the ssf.
