15" TC Sounds TC-3000 BOX HELP

Hey guys, I've always had sealed subs and i just picked this bad boy up. What should I do. I had 2 12" BMs that were remarkably quiet (very small sealed box) but that's sort of aside from the point. I want this TC3K to be in a complete SQL environment. I want it to get loud, but sound very clean. I was told it'd get loud in like 2.3 ft^3 sealed. What should I do?!? Sealed or ported. Again, i've never had a ported setup, but i'm up for anything, i just basically know NOTHING about designing ported boxes. Little help would be awesome, thanks!

never used one, but want one, lol. Im told they do good sealed as well as ported...

throw that ***** in a 2.5-3cuft ported box tuned anywhere from 32-36hz and you will be more than happy!!

i have 2 12" TC-1000's in a 6cuft ported box 3cuft a sub tuned to 32hz and i love em!

I had mine in 3.5@32hz an it played well. Got loud an still had tight accurate bass. Cant comment on sealed. It was always fun hearing how low that thing got, defineatly shook some shit

hmm....Wkbdkid, could you send me the specs of your box because i don't really know where to start when building a ported box....

I was thinkin sub up, port back, but from there (port length/width, etc.) I really don't know.....

What kinda car is it going in? Mine was for an 00 explorer. sub up port back. 65sq.in of port, 45s in all corners an inside was resined.

how bout 2.5 cubic feet at 32 or 33 hz? or **** it should i just go sealed or will it not get nearly as loud

ported will be louder than sealed. 2.5 might be a lil on the small side. id say atleast 3cubes. What amp you gonna use?

3.3c/ft at 32 or 33hz sounds **** good and gets loud.
