the comp VR? i havent heard the 18" but my firend has 2 12's and they are great subs for the price. they get decentyl loud and have pretty good SQ good all around wooofer

The CVR 18 is a pretty good driver, but honestly, there are plenty of 15" drivers out there which are capable of displacing more air than the CVR 18 for less money, and can operate in much smaller boxes.

Not a bad driver by any means, just not really very practical...

What do you mean there expensive? They can be Ebay'd pretty cheap. I bought 2 18" CVR 03 models for 240 bucks total (including shipping).

I'm putting in my firebird in the back seat area. I plan on running a sealed box with around 3 ft for each sub and putting a JBL 1200.1 amp with a 1 farad cap on each sub and an optima in the well.

Anyone running a 18" yet? I'm thinking it's gonna pound pretty good.
