I picked up a Kicker SX900.2 and the birth sheet says 1000 watts. Is this RMS? I find it hard to beleive they tested it and it made dead on 1000 watts anyway regardless of wether or not it is RMS. Anyone "in the know" on this? Thanks!

They are actually peak watts @ 4 ohm as measure to be by CEA-standards //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

not 2 ohm rms

one million jigga watts.

just set the amp for what its rated to put out and be done with it. it is nice to know that a 900 watt amp will put out over 1kw , but its still a 900 watt amp.

I haven't had anything new from Kicker in 8 years, but my ZR240 benched 370 x 1 @ 4 ohms, .011 thd, 106.1 s/n. Over specked in every department and it wasn't peak ##s then. IDK how they do it now.
