Note: Sorry, but the search does not seem to be working at the moment. I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this.
I have a Kicker zx750.1 that's not working. It's not in protect mode (light is green) and there is a signal from the HU. Also, there is a signal out of the RCA outputs. But I get nothing from the speaker. Tried another speaker to no avail.
So after not being able to find anyone local willing to work on it I called Kicker to get an RA#.
My question is does anyone have any experience with this? First off, if you have any suggestions about the amp I'd love to hear them. But otherwise, any experience with using Kicker's repair service?
The lady on the phone told me that if the amp was unfixable, Kicker would offer me a new amp using my old one towards the cost. I assume this is where the refurbs come from. Any idea what they value your amp at?
This concerns me because I wonder how honest they are. I mean, it seems more beneficial to them to sell me a new amp and resell my old one. So, thoughts? Is it worth sending to Kicker? I know I could get a new one on
eBay for $250-275ish with no shipping. I don't know what Kicker's going to come back asking for.
