going in a 04 pathfinder, about 8.6 cuft to work with

have a kx1200.1 that put out 1500 on the birthsheet, looking for something to work off that.

thinking either 4 l5 12's, 2 12 l7's or anything else you guys can suggest that will run off the amp and work well with my space

Do they have to be kicker subs? And that amp puts out at 2 ohms correct?

1200 @ 1 ohm 1500 with 14.4 at 1 ohm according to the birth sheet

not dead set on kicker subs, but i have ran l7's in previous installs and have been satisfied with their sq/spl for the price. + i have a kicker retailer local who will cut me good deals just because of how many i have baught.

4 12 l5's for 500, 2 12 l7's for 320.

dont really see how i can beat those price wise

A pair of 15" SDC-2.5's imo, and theyre cheaper than the pair of L7's

i dont see prices on that site.

my installer buddy was trying to tell me the kx1200.s are known for catching fire when wired down to 1 ohm. any truth to this?
