Which sub would produce deep bass...louder from 1000w RMS?

Kicker 12L7

Kicker 12 CVX

Soundstream 12 SPLX

Fi 12Q (Is Fi Caraudio the only place to purchase Fi subs?)

Purchasing Kicker ZX1000 to feed the beast that will live within 2.5^3 beneath the seat of a Chevy Silverado Ext Cab; playing rap.

Considered two 10s, but did not feel this was enough power for two 10s...nor enough space for two Kicker 10s.

Considered one 10, but I believe I can build a 12 into the same space, with potentially more bottom.

Primarily considered Kicker due to long standing reputation.

The only problem is that I cannot find the subs to compare for myself.

sealed, under the seat, I'd take the CVX 12", or Fi

For a sealed application I'd have to go with the Q.

I guess you're right.

My current setup has a Kicker 10L5 (6" depth) in a down-firing box 1.1^3 w/ port (w/o port 1.1^3).

I figured that I could utilize an expanded version of a down-firing box with get an extra inch + by adding a spaced cap on the top of the box, behind the magnet.

My calculations using 3/4 MDF will deliver 3^3 before the port volume comes into the equation. My problem is the volume occupied by a port tuned to 33hz for the Fi12Q.

Equals 4"x12"x36" slot port (1.3^3)

Recommended Vol: 2.5^3

Xmas: 27mm

Vas: 48.3

FS: 27.1

QTs: 0.49

Depth: 7"

Back to the drawing board...

It's going to be tough to get some deep loud bass under the rear seat of my Ext Cab Silverado...given that the rear seat must remain functional.

Now I'm thinking Kicker CVX12

Any other recomendations?

If I put it into a sealed 3.0^3 box, would it produce deep bass louder than a CVX12?

The CVX12's lower Xmas (vs Fi Q or BL) will allow for a smaller port area/volume.

ran cvx's and currently have q's. cvx's werent all that bad but I would recommend the Q anyday over it.

I'm not sure if I'd want a sealed BL. You'd be better off with a Q in that area.

if you don't have a lot of room and going sealed....go with the Fi Q
