i just bought a kicker 1200.1 i have a o3 silverado..i dont know wut size alt it has..im oging to get 0 gauge wiring kit of course..but i was asking if i need to do the big 3 or is my truck not capable of producing that amount of power without alt. replacement..

you dont have to get a new alt to do the big 3, but yes....I'd try the big three and you are still have problems then look into a new batt or alt.
