Kicker 08VS12L74 Final Impedance???

I just got the Kicker 08VS12L74 enclosure with a kenwood amp that will give it 900watts RMS at 2ohms. The site i ordered the enclosure from stated that it was the Dual 4 Ohm model, but it never stated the Finale impedance of it. Will it be 2ohms or 4ohms? I have herd some people say that the enclosure is already wired in parrellel, so it will have a 2ohm load, and others say it is wired for a 4ohm load. Can anyone help me out here?

should be pre-wired parallel for a 2ohm load, but to be sure test it with a dmm

it could be 4 ohms or 1 ohm if your using the same kenwood amp I have wire it down to 1 ohm for 900 plus rms. check out rockfordfosgate.com and look at their wiring wizard if your confused.

if its bothering you so much and youve already ordered it why not just call instead of having a bunch of people telling you what it MIGHT be. FWIW it looks like it will be a 2 ohm final load, since its a D4, and Kicker doesnt wire their prefabs to a 8 ohm load.

the sub is a dual 4...how do you get 1 or 4 from that?

I have the Kenwood KAC-9104D, and it sais that it is 1-ohm stable but dosnt give a power rating, is there any way to find that out, i want to make sure im giving the sub enough power.

it is regulated to 900wrms @1ohm

2 4ohm coils wired parallel = 2ohm
