Kicker 08VS12L74 Final Impedance???

ok, i posted this cuz im pretty sure that onlinecarstereo.com is retarded and they labeled the enclosure as dual 4ohm, but im pretty sure its simply the 4ohm model....so im saying that the enclosure is probably going to have a 4ohm load, not dual 4ohm. crutchfield has the same enclosure but they have theirs labeled as the 2ohm model (Dual 4ohm voice coils already wired in parrellel) and its called 08VS12L72, since mine is the 08VS12L74, im pretty sure its going to have a 4ohm load, so im asking how to wire a 4ohm load, down to 1ohm.

you don't...if it is svc 4ohm then you have a 4ohm load

please do everyone a favor and spend a little time reading about ohms law, or use the search button. It will help you more than you know and make you not look like such a newb

my amp is 1ohm stable, and i want to get max power to my sub, and a 4ohm load will only allow 500watts RMS, although a 1ohm load will give it more power, is it not possible to wire 4ohm, down to 1?

I will sum it all up for you right now so we can end this thread.

Your sub you bought is a Dual 4ohm. That means it wires to 2 or 8 ohms. In this case your amp will work but is not the best choice because you are limited to only running the amp at 2ohms. At 2ohms you should still see about 600wrms which should be enough to still get it decently loud. So use the pic that Dman posted to wire up the sub although I have a feeling it is already done for you.

ok i guess im wording this wrong.....I think that onlinecarstereo.com stated that the enclosure I purchased is a dual 4ohm model, which i know will be a 2ohm load, but im saying that i think its supposed to be a 4ohm model, which would be a 4ohm load from a dual 2ohm sub. I am trying to find out if anyone has ordered this enclosure from onlinecarstereo.com before or if they can verify what the finale impedance is.
