Kick Panel Question

This may sound like a really stupid question, so please forgive me. Can a set of custom kick panels give good midbass? The stock opening in my Crown Vic is nice for just sheer output, but it gives a serious bias to whatever side your sitting on.

Im getting a set of kicks fiberglassed for me soon, but I was wondering should I seal them? I honestly have never did a set of kicks but I like the sound quality from down there and Im trying to do it right.

Any input is apperciated.

Yes, if proper consideration is given to the requirements of the speakers being installed in them.

Depends on the speaker being used and how much airspace are in the kickpanels.

If these are "car audio" speakers chances are good you would not want them completely sealed as most "car audio" speakers don't do well in small, sealed enclosures.

Thank you squeak, I should have been more specific, Im considering the Rainbow CMX Kicks. The guy thats going to do my kicks also quoted me about doing some fiberglass pods in my lower door. Would that be better? I plan on deadening the door completly.

You can always vent the kicks.
