kenwood keeps shutting off

My kenwood keeps shutting off when the start to hit. whys it that the ground is very tight and i thought that it could be that the battery drops so low and maybe can't handle all the power. i dunno plz help i am running kac-x811d amp and t112d2 and i have a 100 amp alternator

Ok - #1 your Kenwood what? I'll assume an amp but what model? #2 What sub(s) are you driving with it and what impedence are you showing the amp? #3 How much alternator capacity do you have and what else is in the vehicle that may be a current hog?

If the ground and power connections are secure and solid then my first guess would be either not enough juice from your charging system or too low of an impedence being shown to the amp and it's throwing it into protection mode.

A bit more info would help greatly in being able to try to provide an educated answer as to what might be the problem.

How did you wired your sub to the amp? 533RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms Chick Here See Option #2
He is running a pair so he needs to wire them this way-

each sub gets about 500watts rms this way.

I beleive this is the amp I had. I ran my cvr a 1 ohm and it would shut down. The shop I bough it from said they could never get it to run 1 ohm. They tried on two L7 and a couple other subs ma rockford and the like. I ended up trading it in and getting my kicker amp. Couldnt find a picture so I could be wrong. How old is this amp?
