It is a very nice deck, I have the excelon 990. I am incredibly happy with it. The sound quality of excelon decks are just fantastic. The paramertic eq gives you alot to play with!

looking at the specs it has good CD player section. great SN ration stereo seperation.. only thing i call BS on is the preamp output voltage... 600 ohm measurement means @ 100 its closer to 2.5 volts... honestly if you have decent amps the 2.5 volt is plenty, but the eclipse and pioneer 880 offer slightly better preamp output voltage, but they cost considerbally more...
