Kenwood KAC-819 vs. Phoenix Gold T500.2

pg is deffinataly better and it has more watts. i think a better amp for this situation would be jbl 600.1 if u wire into 2 ohms

Ok, I've been convinced that the Kenwood is not what I want. Now, take the PG t500.2, the JBL 600.1, and add a JL 500/1, and which one do you think would be the best? The JL is going to cost the most, with the PG in 2nd place and the JBL being the cheapest. Appreciate the input guys.

IMO, Kenwood *****. I have the bp600.1 and p80.4, and I think these are the best two amps I have ever owned. I really like the versitily of the bp amp. Power is unchanged from 2 to 1 ohm, meaning I could easily go from 2 to 3 subs, without increasing the power (my subs are only rated at 125 rms). I bought the bp for $187 and the p for $139, best $326 dollars I have ever spent. Where else can you get 760 watts rms for that price?

Excellent point about the JBL amps jeff! Now if only some of the other companies would catch on and build likewise! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Too many failures with Kenwoods Excellon line-up for me. Way too many for 1 years time! That and a general frustration that some of the people I have done installs for have for thier Kenwoods.

Not worth the time or the hassle- IMO.

take it easy,

i have the jl 500/1. as i've said before, i am totally pleased with it. it is a more expensive amp, but the onboard processing can't be beat. it has ton of features and the regulated power supply is nice!!! i found mine on ebay, and it was reasonable. i really can't comment on the jbl amp b/c i have no experience with them, and most of

p-g's stuff is really nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
