kenwood help....

i have the kdc-x991.........well i got my ipod the other day ....and my kenwood came with its own music program where i can load songs to the ipod through that...well i did and i can select my playlists.....it basically puts the song in random order....and i cant control the ipod myself...(which the hu is suppose to do that)....but with it messing up i would like to control it myself...well i went to wally world and got the aux plug and decided to use that....but how the hell do i use it lol...i hooked it up to the back of the deck and then to the ipod...but not sure where to turn the hu to lol....it usb, standby, tuner, and internal memory...help lol

forgot to mention after the first time the kenwood program messed up the songs i put all my songs in itunes....but just cant get it where i can control the playlists.
