Kenwood enough power

I just orderd my two Type-R 1242 and i have a 1000 watt 1 ohm kenwood excelon amp, KAC-X811d. Will this be enough power or should i get a nine.1 or orion 1200d?

i just got a 05 kenwood kac9152d mono channel 1800w max amp

Puts out 900w at 1 or 2 ohm its nice

Sub is rated at what...500rms? You had better make sure you keep the gains down on 1kw or bye bye type R...

i run the X811D and itll be fine. i push a single RE SE12 with it so it wont give your two 1242s any problems
