Kenwood DDX6019

I'm looking to purchase this head unit for my Expedition to replace an old P907 unit. I have an older 2100 DVD Navigation unit and i was wondering if anyone knew if the DDX6019 would be compatible with my Nav unit.

Also, in the specs of the DDX6019 it says that it has a "motorized slide-down & reverse front panel". I know what the slide down means, but what does the reverse panel mean? Does this mean that the panel can actually flip over 180 degrees and remain out of view? I've looked everywhere for this info and even looked at the manual and couldn't find anything explaining what this meant. Any help would be appreciated.
