Kenwood 9102d on Alpine X

Two Type-X 12's with 850 watts each would be louder due to additional power and a second sub. It depends how loud you want to be... A single 12 in a .8 ft^3 net box, and 1100 watts is what I was running until a put my Type-X up for sale, and it was very accurate, clear, and low, while still being loud enough to drown my Diamond Hex 6.5's with 100 watts each, completely.

because i have 1 already and have the speaker amp to match it in my amp rack. They are really nice amps. I've never had a problem with mine.

I think i'll just get the one for now and run it off the 9102d amp i have, but someday i'll get the 2nd amp and sub. I don't think the extra 150 watts would make much difference.

Well just to let anyone who gets to this thread thru a search know i've decided to go with one amp on each X. I'll be giving each X between 600-750 watts (depends on sound). while I have it in a 1.5^ft sealed box. I came to this conclusion thru a nice convo in this thread
