Why didn't you just get a smooth rollpan instead of one with a frenched in license plate?

You are not familiar with the s10Blazer are you?

The 1st link you gave sticks out from the body just like a factory bumper does. It is just smooth on the top and with no tag indentation.

That is what was on the Blazer before. ugly.

 

 

The 2nd link is for a s10 truck. Very different. It is wider and needs to be cut down. The mounting options are different so brackets have to be made.

 

Then you can't mold them in because the side pieces are plastic and it would crack over time.

1) RAW molded fiberglass pan. $500 and needs work. (I have this one for mine)

2) ECC ABS molded pan $250 (what is here)

3) Grant Fab sheetmetal rollpan $600

Hell, for those prices you could just make your own out of fiberglass. It wouldn't be that difficult.

like the work but when its all said and done will it be smooth straight across or will you be able to tell there is a filler where the license plate should be

That would be the right thing to do IMO.

Would make things look much cleaner.
