Keep Fi Q or get BL

Here's the deal I had my Q in a sealed box on 1000w but the sub took a crap the other day(box had a leak). I have a ported box I was going to use soon, it is 2.5 @32hz. Im thinking if i should recone the Q or get the BL. My girlfriend want to buy the BL for me. if I get the BL ill eventually recone the Q and sell it or use it in my house.

what should I do? i like my bass low.

No. Needs more power and a bigger box.

If you are going to be staying with the same power and porting the box, just stay with the Q. It will be a lot louder because of being ported, but changing to a BL on 1000 watts, I doubt the difference would even be noticeable.

Somethin seems fishy to me here.

If your not going to be giving the BL any more power then stick with the Q.

whats fishy I did'nt notice it till after the sub blow i pushed in the cone and could hear the air coming out

If you do swap sub, please do yourself a favor and put that Q in your HT tuned real low and big box. what size, 12?
